The Bluest Eye

Toni Morrison has written her very first novel, that heralds for the richness of languages with a bold vision.  It is set in the author hometown of  Lorain Ohio,  It tells the story of an eleven-year-old Black girl.

Pecola Breedlove.  She prayed for her eyes to turn blue with the love of her beauty and beloved as all-natural blond blue eye children in American.  In autumn of 1941, it was the year of then marigolds in the Breedlove home. In the Garden, they do not bloom.

Pecola's life doesn't change with pain, devasting way.   With the vivid excavation of the fear and the loneliness of a yearning child. With the tragedy of the fulfillment.  The Bluest Eye is one of the amazing and powerful novels that Toni Morrison that she ever has written.

It is one of the best American literature.   she was mock from all the children for the darkness of her skin, curly hair, and her eyes, that has set her apart.  what she was yearning for is normally for the blond hear and the blue eyes so that she would fit in.

As her dream started to grow more fervent, her life was starting to slow down in disintegrate in her face of adversity and strife. The powerful examination of her obsession with her beauty and conformity.  It asked the powerful question about race, class, gender with the subtlety, and the grace they already had.

I felt the powerless as I was reading this book,  Her writing kept me coming back to read more and more to find out how the characters, portrayed the structure of the story, Along with conflict of the plot was cared out.

Toni Morrison is the most talented writer and an author, with her grace and love for writing this amazing book,  Also other books she has written.   One of the best American Literature novels that I ever read.

5 stars,  This is something that I would read again, and share it with others too.

Happy Reading.
